"A creamy conversational collusion; linguistically textile, vocally paint."
The Conversational Paint series of forty two three inch x three inch canvases exposes my own fear of paint and chronicles the stepping outside my own textile 'culture" to face that fear. Using the metaphor of language acquisition I consider this series of works a primer, a guide to cross-cultural relationship development. I have endeavoured to afford each "culture" (paint and textile) equal voice on these tiny canvases. They have been crafted to be delicious, slightly mischievous and hopefully profound.
